Western Pleasure Show Saddle!

Hey, what do all you western pleasure fanatics think about this saddle?

Dale Chavez Show Saddle - Contrast

It's a little different, and not traditional, but I think I like it!

(I will ignore 'that's too much silver!' comments. To each their own... We WPers like our bling!!)

Dressage in Jeans - My blog with dressage tips for happy, relaxed horses, specifically for those who ride dressage in western saddles, no saddles, cowboy boots, or jeans. ;) Also now with cute pygmy goat pictures! :P

Personally, I think it is gorgeous but I probably wouldn't buy it.

I am wondering if it would be too distracting in the show ring... might call the WRONG kind of attention to me, y'know?

I like Blue Ribbons much better than Chavez anyway.

I have heard a LOT of good things about the BR, not so much on the 'Chavez's... lol. I think I'm going to try to get a used one--that'd be nice!

You lucky duck! *jealous!*

I went last year and I didn't even think to ask. (Because I'm dumb! lol)

I'm going to scout through used tack sites for a while.. If I can't find anything reasonable by congress, that will most likely be the plan :) Good idea though!

I know nothing about western saddle, or western pleasure, but look wise of the two, I much prefer the first one. I think it looks pretty.

Me too! :( I'm just afraid of it looking too 'tacky', seeing as it's not common at all. And apparently Dale Chavez's don't ride well for petite people, as I'm finding.
Boo. :(
