Just out of curiosity. What type of western saddle is this?

It would probably be classified as a barrel saddle, but I have to agree with SR. You couldn't pay me to put it on one of my horses. It looks like one of those cheapie, made in Pakistan, $100 brand new saddles.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

It skeers me. I wouldn't even use it as decoration, much less stick it on a horse's back!

I hope you didn't pay more than a $30 The stirrups might be ok, and the cinch strap looks decent.

Looks like it's trying to be a roping/reining hybrid, to me.

I second a (junky) barrel saddle.

I think we got it for $10 or something. It's been sitting in our shed for probably the last four years. I was looking for a pair of back boots when it almost fell on me and it got me wondering.

Yeah, $10 would be worth it. Lol. Its so hard to find the cheap ones that actually fits a horse. Many people have claimed that they fit their horses great, but when you see a pic, its sticking up in the back pinching the heck out of their withers or something.
