I currently have a saddle made by American Saddlery and I can't say enough good things about the quality of the leather, workmanship, etc. It's an older saddle but in excellent condition. Best of all, when it's cleaned with Feibing's yellow paste it has a nice mellow glow. All my stuff is cleaned twice yearly whether it's used or not. I'm a big fan of the dark oil antique finish. I've worked on newer saddles made by reputable companies and I'd take the A. S. any day. Some of the new colors and finishes are more like a paint than a dye that penetrates the leather.
