I rode today and used same pad/tack as shown except I also placed a top blanket over the pad. It helped tremendously, but the saddle did slip back a little hence a bit tighter, but not terrible. I did notice though he laid his ears back and turned his head toward me putting the saddle on and we all know what that means! Also a swish of the tail as well. He went along fine on the trail though..ears forward and eager and more trotting than usual..he did just fine. It could the memory of the last couple rides I had with out the blanket or it could be pain. He did not have an even sweat pattern as he really didn;t sweat that much. Next time I will take the camara with me and get pic's of me actually on his back.
