I agree I think they should sponsor the horseforum and give a discount to all members for how often we recommend them. I have had my Corriente saddle for a few months now. If you are looking for a new saddle it is one of the best bargains out there. I got the name of our ranch stamped on the back of the cantle on mine for a few extra bucks. That alone is worth it to me, I am such a better rider because I have a cool "custom" saddle... On my third ride with it we were up in the foothills of our ranch. I got off to work on a fence, the horse I was riding was young. We had been riding for a few hours and it was all sweated up, it shook and the saddle, because it was loose slipped underneath the horse and spooked it. The horse took off down a very steep hill crashing through brush. The horse tripped and rolled 15-20 feet and landed in an oak tree, with its hoof caught in the stirrup. And the saddle pinned beneath the horse. It was quite a scene! Luckily I was able to slip the horses leg out of the stirrup, unhook the cinches and slide the saddle underneath the horse. I will be honest after finding out the horse was ok I was ticked that my new saddle would be all scratched up if not broken. I got the horse back up, checked it for injuries. Besides a few minor scratches on the legs and a gash behind its ear the horse was just rattled. I then checked the saddle, after dusting it off it had two scratches on it and some rocks stuck in the stitching. It adds character to the saddle, and makes a good story. We saddled up and rode home... One more vote for a Corriente saddle, can I get my kickback now?
