What is the best Saddle Blanket brand????

For my birthday my parents asked me what I wanted...And I really really want a blanket!! I have a barrel saddle that is round skirted but I do not want a round blanket. I really want what is best out there cause I am paying half and I don't want to make a mistake!! Heres a picture of my horse and his saddle now with my blanket that I used in the winter. I really want something with lime green in it but whatever I find works. My horse is a mix with a thoroughbred so he has high withers, but he is also a AQHA so he has a thicker body. The saddle I use is a dakota saddle, it is FQHB and fits him great I just have a really thick saddle pad! THANKS!

PS the bottom picture is older.

Personally, I LOVE the SMX Air Ride pads. They're great & come in a load of colors, patterns, & shapes. They're suitable for anything & have an airride core which is very comfortable for your horse as it forms to their back. Look them up. Professional's Choice - SMx Air Ride Saddle Pads
Mine's a pink "tough enough to wear pink" breast cancer pad & although they can be expensive I wouldn't get anything different.

I like the SMX Air Ride Pads also. Especially the "tough enough to wear pink" one! I hate the Charmayne James saddle pads, though. They're a little on the thin side. I use a Classic Equine pad for my round skirted saddle pad. They also make square skirted pads that look like this also. Pricey, I know, but I really liked the saddle pad :].

If your going for quality not price.... Here is what I use. My horse is very hard to fit saddle wise. Every since I started using this pad, I have seen great improvment....

I used Reinsman for trail riding and SMX for cutting. SMX is on expensive side, but nice. Reinsman worked just fine for trail riding.

Glad to help. I know what its like look for a good pad... not wanting to spend $150+ on one not know if it would work. But I use it on every horse I ride (have 3 of my own plus generally 2 in a month for training), and it works awesome on all of them... good luck in choosing =)
