    What brand are these boots?

I wasn't planning to look seriously at boots [the Nouvelles fell into my lap] but I was browsing eBay and found these suckers.

Field Boots size 9- Perfect Condition! - eBay (item 170526684980 end time Aug-19-10 20:53:46 PDT)

There's no brand listed, but the marking on the side of the boot makes me think Devon Aire?

I have almost enough money for these by myself...and from the measurements I've taken they seem the right size!

I'm not sure about the height though. On the page it says 19" but I don't know if that's the inside of the boot, or all the way from the ground. When I measured the back of my leg from my heel to knee, I got 18". If these turn out to be Devon Aires [or another quality brand] then I'll have my mom ask them about the height, if no one here knows what it means.

OH - and how much would it cost to get zippers put on the back? At that time I could have the calf made a little smaller, too, right? When I measure my calf it's right around 14", maybe a smidge more.

    Thanks!

Don't know, but I find it odd that the seller doesn't know what boots she bought.

    I guess. I mean...I don't know what brand my chaps are...but I've had them for a while.

Hey - if her ignorance means that I can actually afford fitting boots...then I don't mind too much

Okay, I remeasured my leg from the ground to the back of my knee and now I'm more or less 17". Tried it like 4 times and that seems to be pretty consistent. *sigh*

I'm like 80% certain that these are Devon Aires, and I think I'm going to try and buy them and see about getting zippers put in the back.
