Since mine is black also, I use whatever one I feel like that day.....I have about 6 pads and most are multicolored so I can wear whatever color shirt I want. My chaps are black, boots are black, saddle is medium oil with a cream seat......so I have shirts in red, cherry(more of a raspberry), pink, turquoise, white, black, and cornflower blue. They all go with a different pad best.......
My pal goes great in pink. My little pal though, is a completely different shade and I'm not sure she'll end up in pink once she's big enough to ride---if that ever happens, lol. Maybe turquoise for her. She looks awesome in lime when she's at her darkest--choco pal. But she's not always that shade . . .
No one mentioned buckskin yet....My horse is buckskin.
What do ya like on them?
I think black is always classy on buckskins, but I also have saddle pads in wine/maroon, purple, and light blue. When I was buying I just couldn't decide....
Next on the list is I'm looking for a nylon bridle as an extra (already have black leather) that will go with both my all black saddle, or with my mahogany and black saddle.
Gah... too many choices
I have a Isabella White Palomino and he looks great in maroon and black. My friend has a Rocky that is a chocolate with the flaxen mane and tail and he looks great in hunter green. My other friends' red horse looks good in blue
