Id go with red or any bright color especially if it hunting season for rifle or muzzle loader. And a hunter, as am I should ABSOLUTELY know what the animals is before they take the shot. And they do not guess and think its a deer and shoot. So the hunter who "accidentally" shot raisinandelana's friends horse should have has his license revoked for at least 2 years.

Actually I would say permanent and a felony comviction and not allowed to own a gun for ever, different thread though, check out, Ban sunday hunting in VA in the horse law section and you can catch up,

Currently I don't ride during hunting season, so was just looking at cosmetic options,, the red would be cheaper, as I need red anyway for my demon holloween costume, and it can work for christmas parades also. I was all set to order the forest green and actually have a few green items, buttttt can always use more junk I guess.

What did the hunter do about it?

As others have already said, red stands out more, green would be more understated. Which do you want to be?

ETA: Red is definitely the way to go if you're worried about hunters.

Actually wasnt even thinking about the shooters, as I don't ride where there is hunting, or I ride on Sundays (still no hunting in VA). I was wanting something flashy and am getting into endurance rides which are at night.

The above girl was on her own land by the way, the shooter shot across the property line, it wasnt a stray shot was actually a faily well aimed behind the shoulder shot, of course the guy got a slap on the wrist instead of prison.
