    What do you think?

Hi! What do you think of this saddle package for a mini donkey? The lady who is selling it suggested it might be better to purchase a western for him, because the trees are wider. I can buy this and try it on, and if doesn't work I can exchange it or return it. This is the cheapest price I've found for the package yet...anyway, I wanted to get a second opinion. Do you think it could work for him?

    Thanks!

For that price, and the ability to exchange or return it I don't see why you wouldn't!

Is he going to be ridden by kids?

I would NEVER buy one of these packages. The quality is very poor and you will end up paying more money in the long run dealing with soreness on your animal and paying for new tack once after short time you will have to replace because this stuff does fall apart very easily. Not to mention the saddle is VERY uncomfortable and doesn't help you at all with sitting center and balanced. Acually it does just the opposite and forces you forward or to have a chair seat while sitting a bit to one side or the other. Tack is something that you do get what you pay for. If you are on a budget you are much better off saving or looking at good quality used tack. These sets are not worth the money. I used to work in a tack store for many years and sadly we sold these cheapo sets, I never promoted them and always steared people away. And the ones who didn't listen to my suggestions came back a very short time later trying to return and get something much better.
