What do you use when you don't have silver polish?

I got my first show on Sunday. I don't have any silver polish. Is there something else I can use instead?

You might try toothpaste. Just the plain old ordinary kind not the fancy gel stuff. I use it to clean bits, and I use it and an old toothbrush to clean some of my jewelry.
