What halter to show my Shetland pony in?

I have 2 types of halters that I could show in: a plain leather stable halter and an Arab-type show halter for my Shetland pony. She's got a very Araby looking face, but her neck is short and thick. Which one should I use?

Bumping this up, because the show is tomorrow and I'm packing.

What kind of show are we talking here? Is it more of an open show where you will be showing against several other breeds including stock breeds or is it an actual show just for mini's?

Also, which classes are you showing in? I think for the classes where you have to jump them in hand, it's pretty common for them to be in a regular halter. However, I think in the halter classes that it is pretty standard to show minis in a more arab type halter.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

It's a 4H show, but the class is a "pony class" for horses/ponies under 57". There's so much variety in it; some show in Nylon halters and some show in big blingy $300 halters. It just depends I guess. I don't really know what end of the spectrum I want to be on.
Oh and it's just a plain old halter class.

So long as you aren't going to be the only one there in a regular halter, that's the route I would go.

Those mini halters look nice, but I prefer the look of a regular halter .
