Never looked into the thorogoods but I know a lot of them come withthe gullet sets idk if they do anymore but you can always look for a used one on ebay to save some moolah (everyone loves to save money :) ) I would say that would be your best bet of riding more than one horse so you can customize the saddle to each horse :) I wish you lots of luck in the saddle journey be sure to let us know what you decided on doing ... good luck!

Thanks. :) If I'm still riding X by next summer (which I hope will be the case) and I see I really want to show him the year after, I'll will most definitely get a saddle for him. I really want to get something online, but I'm hoping to to find the same/similar model at my tack shop so I can just try it on him and make sure I won't be stuck shipping the saddle back because it doesn't fit him.

I just found a really good website that has a lot of saddle listings in Quebec and Ontario. I'm happy because there are a lot of good quality saddles listed for decent prices and they would be close enough for me to go, pick up, try on X if the owner agreed, and return it if it didn't fit. Or at least just visit the saddle and check if the gullet width, tree angle, tree width, saddle length, and spinal channel are all good.
