I'm going to be trying out a Dressage saddle on Sebastian, but I don't have a girth for it yet. I know that these girths are alot shorter, so if I normally use a 54" english girth, what size would I need in dressage?
Easiest way to find out would probably be to get a tape measure and measure from the bottom of your horses shoulder (top of the leg) around to the other side, were the girth would sit, should give a good idea. If you have a local tack shop you should see could the shop owner let you take a lend of the size measured out and maybe one slightly bigger to see which one fits best.. good luck
Thanks :). I had a short surcingle web girth that was 33". I tried it with my saddle and it fits, so now I know that I need a regular dressage girth somewhere around 33".
