I am going to buy some rear leg boots for my horse as she seems to get them banged up more than her front.... anyways she is 14.2 if you measure straight up with the tape and have a ruler across her withers but some people measure with the tape wrapping over the wither and she is 14.3...I am guessing she is 1000 lbs. Wears a size 70" sometimes a 69". For hoof boots she wears size 1...I don't know if that helps at all but I don't know if I need to get her a small or medium for her back legs.
Also, if you order them online new, I know ValleyVet has a return policy for a different size if they don't work. You just have to make sure they still look brand new with no dirty or anything.
Okay, and one more thing..with the elites..are they suppose to cover the whole leg like medicine boots do ..i know they are different style..I tried some elites and it still showed some cannon bone and the boot didn't reach all the way down to pastern..like stopped at the fetlock and was like an inch of cannon above the knee
Okay,thanks!
I do think she wears a small. They are snug. I can get one finger in at the top and doesn't have gaps at the fetlock area like the medium did.
