Cool Whats your favorite style of tack?

There are many styles of tack out there. Western. Show. English. Showy western. Arabian. What types do you like?

I grew up riding English but switched to Western ~20 years ago. I love a good Western ranch saddle.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

My absolute favorite style of tack is what I would call "classic" western. You know, the kind of stuff you see if you look up picture of horses in the '50's-'70's? Yeah... I like it when it's mostly just wide leather with small amounts of "bling", nothing too gaudy. It just seems super classy to me. And, I like the idea that you don't have to worry about it getting dirty since it really isn't that hard to clean.

What's your favorite style, CustomLegacy? :)

Fabio - 13 year old Arabian/Lipizzan gelding
Hazel - 14 year old Angora goat

Atticus - 4 year old LaMancha/Alpine cross goat

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

I just love the Arabian breast plates. I agree with not too much silver on the saddle, it just makes it heavier to life... especially if you have a tall horse, and your a short person.

Reining is like dancing, and the horse is your dance partner.

Ranch type western. Stuff that is actually practical.

I loathe Western show saddles. Like the ones for WP that are covered in silver and have horns that look like I could pull it off with my bare hand. I think they're hideous.

But since I like to be loud and obnoxious and I like barrel racing, I have loud coloured tack. It's all purple!

i'm a dressage person myself and love the clean look of nice matching tack. black bridle with black padding, laced reins, nice black saddle without the huge knee blocks. or for a chestnut or light bay horse - brown tack.

Give me a vintage western using saddle over a show saddle covered in silver anyday. They just don't make 'em like they made 'em in the 50's, 60's and 70's anymore :)

I just LOVE nice black dressage tack... pitch black saddle and double bridle with the super wide nose band and a little bit of bling on the browband...ahhhh i just love thinking about it, lolol. I also for some reason LOVE those really fine thin arabian halters that the arabians always wear in pictures.... those are very pretty.......

If there are no horses in heaven... im not going.

Another vote for a set of nice, functional ranch tack. Simple, yet attractive and good quality.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
