who wants to shop for me?????

Any chronic online tack shoppers on here???

I'm looking for a breastplate for my friend's birthday. She wants the elastic kind that has the center piece of leather and ring for a martingale attachment. Here's the hard part, she does NOT want brown elastic! Here's the harder part, it must be fairly affordable. (antares has a gorgeous one.... for $260) I'm thinking, below $100. Anyone looking for a challenge???

Here's a pic of what I'm looking for...

Ooh, you're good! (and fast!) ok, here are more rules...

1. It MUST have elastic on the sides (which can't be brown)
2. It must be in the US (no point saving money and then paying huge for shipping)

I loved that beautiful green one you found but was international....

I won't be able to look again until tonight. I've got to run off to school in a minute.

You guys are AWESOME! Unfortunately it looks like we're facing the same issues, brown elastic. I know, it's weird, my friend is just set on cool elastic instead of boring brown... (she's a jumper, what can ya do, right? ) I will ask her if beige is ok (thanks JDI!).

Just a note, the breastplates that are just elastic without the center leather strap can actually cut off your horse's blood supply to its brain (like if the horse reaches down with his neck or if it rides up) and cause them to pass out! My vet said it's pretty frightening as they apparently don't stagger, they just fall down!

Ones like this...

Ooohh... but note the pretty green!!

Yep! Kind of crazy isn't it! I had heard that once but didn't really believe it (i've known tons of people who have used them and never seen a horse pass out!) but my vet has seen several cases of it. And then recently George Morris mentioned it in a Jumping Clinic article in Practical Horseman. That's why my friend is replacing her breastcollar. Better safe then sorry I guess.
