Oh yeah, but things I've seen are way more over priced for English than Western.

You're funny.

English and Western tack isn't any more expensive than the other. There are varying amounts of quality on both sides, and I've seen some Western saddles that go for $15,000.00. That's just the saddle, nothing else.

It's not as black and white as you want to make it. Show tack and clothing are expensive no matter the discipline, especially once you start getting into the higher levels of the rated show circuits.

Saying that one is more expensive than the other just simply isn't true.

But I don't know, I see English stuff that is more over priced than Western. Maybe because no one around here rides Western.

I wouldn't call it "over-priced" actually. They are just different.

Yeah, you're right. Someones over price could be someone elses bargain, or vise versa.

I think it depends on the maker, quality of the materials used, and what area.. a lot of people here ride western and I notice a lot of english tack here is pretty darn cheap.

ErikaLynn..it's good to hear that you are a funny person :P ;)

Oh yeah...that's right. But then you get English saddles in different brands like this.

So I guess it doesn't matter. I just saw tack shops around me have nice looking Western things for less than nice looking English things. I thought maybe because good quality English stuff is from other countries, mostly. And Western things are more local. (I may be wrong)

Gidget, that's another thing I was thinking, because not a lot of people on the east coast rides Western. But more people out West and in the middle states ride Western.

I was feeling like it was unfair, because some Western saddles are really pretty with a lot of detail are reasonably priced (for me at least)..and plain English used saddles are hurting my wallet.
