Wilson Snaffle?

I bought a single joint, wilson snaffle at a tack sale.
I have read a few books on driving where they were recomended,
But did not say much more. They did say how to put it on the bridle though, ( which rings connect to the reins and which to the headstall).

Wondering if anyone has used them, and likes or dislikes them, or what is the difference is between the wilson and other snaffles.

Thanks.
