Wintec?

So I totally spur-of-the-moment bought myself a wintec saddle today xD I saw it on sale and bought it -.-'
Brought it home and obviously it doesn't fit my horse. My horse is a small draft who's back is as flat as a dinner table, so clearly the average tree size won't fit her. But I was told that wintec saddle are completely adjustable, how do I know what I need to make it fit her? Is it worth buying all the new parts to change it or should I just return it and keep looking?

I don't know how to tell if everything else fits, of course the gullet is way too narrow, but how do I know if anything else needs fixing? I can't even get it on her back to check xD

You had better start looking for the Wide set of gullet plates! I believe the Wide set has Wide, X Wide and XX Wide or something like that..
EASY-CHANGE? Fit Solution

I'd love to see pics of your saddle!

QH rider, I was just reading that site but I can't tell if I get a gullet that fits her, would the rest of the saddle fit? How can I tell? I think the channel might be too narrow too? I'll go get some pics xD

Well if the channel is too narrow, I don't think there is much you can do about that. I wonder what would happen if you took the existing gullet plate out and stretched the saddle to fit her and just set it on her back and look to see how it fits if it sits wide enough for her, and then order the gullet system or sell it.

Now run like the wind and bring us pictures!!!!!!

The extra wide gullets can only be put into the wintec wide it is different than the regular. And I'm assuming this is an english saddle?

You cannot change the channel. The regular wintecs have a bit of a rock to them so if your horse is flat I would return it.

A regular wintec most likely will not fit a flat backed draft you would need the wintec wide saddle, completely different.

Wintecs are SLIGHTLY adjustable through ONE angle of the FRONT of the saddle. I hate the misconception out there that "adjustable" saddles can be made to fit any horse. They cannot. You can SLIGHTLY change one slight angle, but the rest of the gullet is going to stay the same. If it fits that poorly, adjusting the front panel likely won't do you a lick of good, sorry.
