Wintec 250 All purpose black saddle $200?

Is that a good deal? Comes with stirrup leathers/irons.

Also, what would be the limitations of this saddle, competition-wise?
I know it would never be a hunter saddle, but could I use it in other competition?

Would you recommend this saddle??

I have not seen a Wintec saddle in many years. However at that time the Wintec saddles had a serious flaw to them. The tree was made out of fiberglass or maybe some sort of plastic. It looks fine sitting on the horse, but when the rider gets on the tree collapses and you are sitting on your horse's spine; not healthy for the horse.
I found a synthetic saddle that I really liked because it had a hardwood and spring steel tree like any other good saddle. This tree gave the support that I needed to lift me off of my horses' spines and transferred my weight to their ribs as should be.
Sorry, but I don't know what brand name the saddle is being currently sold under.

Don't get wentec. In general they are complete crap. I've heard they hurt your knees and other parts. But if you want something versitile get an all purpose saddle. Personally my favorite brands are county, crosby, and ainsly. I know they all make an all purpose saddle. Im not sure what your price range is or what discipline you do but this is what id reccomend. If you are a dreeasge girl im selling my crosby :)

I have a wintec pro dressage saddle and I love it, everyone had their own preferences with saddles and what they are comfortable in and what they like, I don't show tho so I really can't help you with that

Depends on the types of shows you are doing. I used to do schooling shows and ETI shows in a black Wintect 500 and it was okay. I found them to be really comfortable.

You can show at the lower levels with a Wintec 250, but if you want to do serious competition, especially hunters, you're going to need a not black, leather saddle.

Wintecs are decent saddles, regardless of what some people say. Like anything, it's merely a matter of personal preference.

You could show low level eventing and dressage in it. I would offer $175. $200 is high, considering it doesn't have the changable gullet and is black.
