Is this a Wintec?

New " Wintec English Saddle for Sale - FREE Ads

Im not sure this is really a Wintec saddle. All Wintecs I've seen have the Wintec logo on the keepers, but Im no expert on Wintecs, so that's why Im asking on here :P

Just curious, because I may buy.

It looks a lot like the Wintecs I've seen, not sure why it doesn't have the Wintec logo though. Looks like a good saddle either way, though.

Hi, I have never seen one like that before, it doesn't look like a Wintec to me. Don't quote me on it though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It looks good quality, but it doesn't really look like a wintec. More like a wintec knock off. I contacted the seller asking for pictures of identification of it being one though, so we'll see.

In my part of the world, a lot of people refer to any synhetic saddle as a wintec. It bothers me.
Iwas going to say that it looks like a thorowgood T4 series to me (Google Image Result for http://www.yourhorse.co.uk/upload/10049/images/Thorowgood%20T4%20Cob%20GP%20Saddle.jpg)
But upon further inspection, I can see that it's not.

It's likely a offbrand. If you want to get it, just make sure it fits your horse, as you should with any saddle.

doesn't look like it to me. It would have a wintec logo on the side anyways.

Thanks for the input, I'll most likely not get it, since it's not a wintec and doesn't have interchangeable gullets.

I highly doubt that's a wintec. Unless it's a REALLY old version. It's obviously synthetic and the seller *may* be under the impression it's a wintec. As has been pointed out, it doesn't have the logo on the stirrupleather keepers. I've never seen a channel looking like that in the new style or old style wintecs, and also, it doesn't appear to have a label. All wintec saddles have a label, with the serial number on the underside of the saddle flap - just above the girth points. Of course, they only show the right side of the saddle, and the label is always on the left side.

It is not 'cool' to ride without a helmet! period.

That's what I'm thinking....and it doesn't look like an old saddle, especially with the padded panels.
