Default Wintec Pro Dressage and HDR Close Contact

So I am thinking about selling my saddles (dressage and jumping/close contact) and buying some nicer used saddles. Mine get the job done, I guess, but I want saddles that will put me in a better riding position.

I found this really nice HDR that I just LOVE! I like the shape of it and it looks like it would fit Bear and I. Plus it has a great price! Have any of you used HDRs? What do you think of them? Give me your two cents! (:

lindak (on here) has a Wintec Pro Dressage saddle for sale. I read a few reviews on them and all of the were very good. I would have to get a new gullet that is medium-medium wide, but I dont think that will be to much. Have any of you used one?

I need replies people! xD I am thinking that these saddles are worth their weight in gold. So give me your review of them!

i love my hdr. it fit my very very lean tb with lots of wither, and my round little mare, who i can never find a good dressage saddle to fit. Ive had it for about 10 years, i got one when they were a new brand here. Never had a problem with it, it was soo easy to break it. and i love the oakbark, althought its hard to find matching tack unless you get hdr stuff too which can be expensive.

not a fan of wintecs, they felt like i was riding a rock.

Honestly, everyone thinks Wintec sells "quality", "expensive" saddles just because they are a "name brand." It reminds me of the way teenagers buy Aeropostle and Hollister because they believe their clothes are "expensive" and "fine quality." It's an impulsive purchase, I have NEVER known a Wintec saddle to last more than two or three years. What type of jumping/close contact saddle do you have? I might be interested in purchasing it from you!

I have ridden in a variety of Wintec saddles. The knee rolls seem to "fall apart" over time, and their is very little cushion (stuffing). Don't buy based on price, make sure you have a test ride, especially when buying online. Beware of sellers who do not except refunds or returns.

I have little experience with HDR saddles but was actually considering purchasing one myself. I have only heard great things about them, but of course, there are much better saddles out there. It all really depends on your budget and the best saddle for that amount. Those saddles aren't really worth as much as they are asking, I believe them BOTH to be overpriced. :)

HDR has more than one quality level, Can you find out if the one in the picture is a Club, Advantage or something else? The HDR "Medium" is also a bit narrower than what some other companies consider a "medium" to be.
There seem to be alot of Wintec haters on this site, but I really like them as a starter saddle. I WOULD be wary of a used one because people often ride with the gullet installed incorrectly or the saddle not fitting the way it should and they can break the saddle. If you buy a used saddle, you should always take it to a saddler and make sure it's sound before the sale is final.
