My sister has a Wintec syntetic Western, and she loves it. It's pretty comfy, and she's never had trouble cleaning it. It's held up really well. She's had it for probably around 4 years, riding almost daily from March through October as the weather permits, and it looks good as new. It takes me a little getting used to when I ride in it, since her horse is about twice as wide as mine, lol. Nothing wrong with the saddle, just that my rear end resists conforming to a wider horse. A friend of mine has had the brown Wintec for who knows how long (garsh, at least
8 years, I guess), and it looks like new when it's clean. I have an Abetta that has held up really well for around 6 years (again, looks brand new) under a similar workload that I also find pretty comfy, but, second only
to the fit of the saddle on the horse is the fit of the saddle on you.
Happy saddle hunting!
Oh, Wintec pretty recently came out with a cleaner for their saddle material. I might get some for my sis, I'm curious as to whether or not it works better than a wet sponge (which works doggone good!)
