Wintec Webbers causing bruising?

Wintec Webbers bruise my shins pretty bad, and I don't know why. It's bruising me through my breeches and half chaps! Does this happen to anyone else?

Additional info: It's worse the higher my stirrups are. And yes, the stirrup is at the ball of my foot.

I don't use them anymore, but I did like how flat they were under my thigh...

Yep, I don't love them. They can trap your skin between the saddle and the webber. I prefer regular leathers. But I've never had an issue when I used them with half chaps. It might have to do with the length of stirrup you ride with that makes them worse for you.

Normal leathers don't bother me at all! Just the webbers. They're fine if they're at a dressage length, but if I move them up to jump in them, that's when I start getting big bruises. It's weird!

Would you all reccomend not getting them? I've heard nothing but good things about them until now.

I ride in tall boots. But I was thinking about buying them for my new wintec... should I not??

Even at jumping length, my webbers have never bothered me a bit... I don't' think it's a problem that all riders will experience with these particular webbers, but just something that happens to you due to some strange conditions -- maybe the way you hold your leg or maybe you have sesitive skin on your shin? My shins tend to bruise easier than the rest of my body... I would just get some new leathers, personally.

From the sounds of it, I guess it's only me that gets bruised! Other than that I really liked them, so I say get them if you want to!

they can pinch my leg at times if I don't use half chaps (but regular ones pinch me and rub as well). Overall I really love them. they are so nice and flat under your leg...whereas regular ones bruise my upper thighs from where they attach and fold over....guess it may depend on the particular rider and shape of their body?

A horse is the projection of peoples' views about themselves--strong, powerful, beautiful--and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existance.

I was looking into getting a pair. Seeing how you love them, have you noticed if they wear more or less on the leather of your saddle? I read somewhere that because of the synthetic material, they might rub more?

Thanks!
