YAY! Getting a custom-made reining saddle as a going-away present!

I just need help deciding who to buy it from : )

I'd like to keep it under $2,000 and would love it if they let me put half down and make payments while it's being made... or something like that.

And if they sell show bridles and reins to match, that would be a plus.

You might be looking at closer to $3000 for a custom made saddle. Have you checked Ranch2Arena? Jerry (Jeremiah) Watts is a fine saddlemaker.

Nope, I think smrobs got a custom made saddle, for like 700$ and it's really nice looking! Definitely PM her as I can't remember the name! But her saddle looked really really nice.

Look up Larry Trocha? I think that's his last name. Apparently he makes amazing reining saddles.

Smrobs was a corriente, I believe, and I don't think that was a reining, as such. Actually, Dale Chavez has some pretty close to that price point.....If you google chavez reiner you should find it......

Ryons has made some for a friend, and she is a reiner, and was very satisfied with them.

Ryons makes some really nice comfy saddles. I think youd have a really hard time finding any custom quality made saddle for under $2000. I just got a custom Jim Taylor reined cow horse saddle that ran $4400 but they do make the Extreme line saddles that are also very nice. They are not custom but they are still excellent quality and run around $2500 and in my opinion are a great value for a quality saddle.

Congrats CM. I will say that I do have a corriente, but since you are wanting something that is really show-ring quality, they may not be the best way to go. Theirs are more working and local show quality. There is a member here, I don't know if he has logged on in a while though. His username is SouthernTrailsGA (or something very similar). I have seen some of his work and it is super high quality and, from my understanding, at a very reasonable price.

Past that, I can't really offer you much of a recommendation. Good luck and I hope you find what you want.

Southern Trails even has saddles that will fit both my high withered broad backed mare and my fat backside - I am SO looking forward to my income tax refund. The prices are very reasonable!

Here's the link: Western Saddles, Trail Saddles, Barrel Saddle, Ranch Saddle
