I had an HDR for my QH but I can't remember what the style was. It was pretty but I thought it was really slippery and it was too narrow for my QH. BUT the one I had, I think it was the senior pro came out BEFORE the QH one did. It was a wide one but they hadn't come out w/ the QH one at that time. I like the look of the HDR though.
It isn't what everyone else thinks about them..
It is what works best for you, fits your horse best and fits the pocketbook.
If you are seriously wanting to know what this saddle is like, try one.
Go to Dover Saddlery and do a "test ride" of the saddle or any of their saddles. You put a credit card on hold with them, they ship you a saddle, you try it and if you like it they charge your credit card.
If you don't like it you return the saddle in the specified amount of time and no charge, and you can try another till you find a match for you and your horse.
Other places also do these "trial ride" programs, just Dover came to mind first.
BTW... I've heard nice things about the saddle, just never rode in one myself.
There are places that have "reviews" on saddles...just do a online search and see what is said about this or other pieces of equipment horse related.
