Hi guys! I'm new here, and was wondering if anyone has any padding for saddles? I have broken my tailbone multiple times so saddles aren't too comfy for me, but I've recently gotten a new horse that my dad won't let me ride bareback. Any good brands I can ask for Christmas?
Do you ride English or Western? Does the saddle you have fit both you and your horse? It would be pointless to get more equipment if there is a fit issue for either of you. Is the new horse green? Why won't your dad let you ride this horse bareback? It may appear that more info is needed as a saddle seat pad may be the least of the issues.
I have had tailbone injury but riding in a saddle has never been a problem. Maybe it's the way I sit, or the way the saddle fits or a combination of both. I do own a thick fleece pad but have never had to use it. Hopefully someone will have a good solution for you as far as the best pad. Riding is no fun if it's painful.
I ride western, and my new horse isn't green but he has a motor and since he's new "you never know how he'll react" the saddle fits him fine, he has the same build as the horse before and there's no space between him & the saddle in places there shouldn't & he doesn't act like it bothers him
My dad just informed me that Monday we are gonna go look at this tack shop he found and see what we like, I'll see if I can't find a gel one there.
