Mine is getting a major overhaul. The cinch straps are in the wrong place, too far forward and this seems to be a general complaint. Also I have removed the cinch straps and will throw them out. My next plan is to use a stronger tie strap that doesn't have to be doubled. I may begin by attaching the new straps just below the gel pad and going down across the leather flap, sewing thro it as well. I don't feel the pad is very well designed. Because the back line is straight perhaps making it more like a cut-back pommel it would better accommodate the withers. That was my next plan until I realized the gel bladder was in the way. I shall be doing some fitting before the stitching begins.
