I'm probably going to be purchasing a new blanket, as the old one I have from my previous horse will most likely be too small for Caly. Going to measure her this afternoon, but just in case, I've been shopping...
I'm relatively set on the Saxon 1200D Turnout Blanket 250g:

Thinking about maybe going with the 150g version instead... I haven't decided.
I live in Nebraska and the winters here can get pretty harsh. I know blanketing is a personal preference, and I'm not asking for advice on whether or not I should blanket her. I've already decided that I am going to. But since Caly is a young-ish horse who isn't an especially hard keeper, I'm not terribly concerned about getting a huge, super thick blanket. I will only be using the blanket when temps are lower than 30 degrees and/or it's snowing/raining.
Has anyone used this coat before? Any reason it wouldn't work for me? Anything you love about it? Which one would you use, the 150g or the 250g? Thanks for the advice!
