I just bought two. I measured my mini mare at a 44" and my mini gelding at a 48." When the lady at the tack shop found out they were on the fat side, she told me to go up a size. I'm glad I did for my mare. She has a 46" and it's really a bit too small on her. It also slides to one side a lot. Spirit's on the other hand, fits largely (I bought a 50" so that's why) and his doesn't slide too badly. They are only 600D and so far have held up nicely and are not torn anywhere. They were a good price, as well. So overall, yes, I'd say they're pretty nice blankets but not the best.
