what saddle pad do i need!

Hey guys so I am new to rodeos and I am going to be doing roping and barrels I am worried because on the saddle pad I have now there are alot of dry spots so I need a new pad.... but I have no idea what to get I want a nice saddle pad that will give my horse comfort and support.... my horse is my whole life and I want absolute best for him, I have been looking at five star wool pad and gel pads and im trying to decide whats best... please give me your personal experience! Thanks so much

If you are experiencing dry spots a pad most likely won't fix that. Sounds like you need to re-evaluate your saddle fit.

Maybe you could post some pictures of what your talking about.

Standard pads are a uniform thickness in order to add padding to a saddle. They do not create their own pressure points, or relieve them.

If there are dry spots with your saddle then it's your saddle that isn't fitting your horses back.

Some specialised pads may be able to help with some problems, however without more detailed information no one will be able to help you.
