Wintec saddles on thoroughbreds

I currently have a leather deeper seated saddle. After riding in a close contact saddle it's not as comfortable as I had liked. I am thinking about selling my leather one and getting a close contact Wintec. The horse that I ride most is a thoroughbred and I have heard that wintecs are better on horses with flat backs. Is this true? Has anyone had experience with this type of saddle on a thoroughbred or similar horse?
Thanks

I've ridden in a Wintec on many Thoroughbreds with no ill effects. I've also had some come out to be fitted.

It really depends though, Thoroughbred's backs can vary so much.

I think sometimes a problem is because they tend to have prominent withers, people go with the narrower sizes which tend to just "perch" on parts of the back rather than fitting properly.
