Oh I didn't no that. I put molasses in a batch of horse cookies before and a lady at my barn lectured me on how it is so horrible and all sugar. I don't mind using it, I just didn't no it wasn't horrible for me or my horse. Do you some of the health benefits?

Use black strap molasses. I know its good for humans, has anti-oxidants, according to the health program the "Doctors". As for horses, maybe it's different.

I was wondering if you could add paprika in, keep them black, I'd probably add some flax as well...must experiment

Just put half a batch in the oven. Sticky little *******s. I'll let you know how they turn out in fifteen minutes ;D

They are sticky! Thank goodness I had gloves to use or most of the mix would have stuck to my hands!
