2014 Goals

What are your goals for 2014?

- get to 2-3 schooling shows over the winter, just flat u/s classes.
- start Zoe over fences in earnest, and debut in the hunter ring by next fall
- get on at least one trail ride a month when the weather's nice, or at least trailer out to school at another barn
- join the 2014 charity ride at a local provincial park. We went this past September and having only 90 days under saddle, Zoe was fantastic. The ride was a blast and I'm hoping to join the next ride too, make it an annual thing
- get Zoe inspected with RPSI, where she's registered
- a farfetched goal is to get Zoe riding with just a rope around her neck, bit of an odd goal but hey I'll throw it out there

Of course, getting married and buying a house may throw a wrench in the plans, but I'm hoping beyond all hope that 2014 is going to be a good year.

Oh, I have too many goals...
Show all my horses in training atleast once. (8)
Get Lana to Prix St. George
Show Vickie Grand Prix
Take all my horses out on the trails once a week
Start jumping again
Work on musical freestyles
Get out to the barn on cold days to atleast lunge the horses.
Getting all the horses more used to trailering.
Lastly, try to remember to bring my ponies carrots everyday!

- Sell my mare to what hopes to be a forever home
- Finalize my horses canter leads, and make them both balanced and nice.
- Ride in my first recongnized trial.
- Finish my mom's horse's walk, trot, canter and put him in dressage schooling shows and maybe 1 eventing derby.

- Work on my posture, balance, rhythm, seat, legs, hands, etc. Basically, just ride better.
- Continue to condition Riley so he is fit enough to start schooling in a few months.
- Show at least once or twice at our barn this summer.
- Get Riley out of the arena and ride on the grounds as much as possible (he gets nervous).

That's about it. I don't have any huge goals this year, I'd just like to better myself, keep Riley in good shape, and have fun!

Start jumping again and continue with my dressage training. :)
