I couldn't live in a place where people tried to climb on my roof. I would never ever sleep, lol. Too many horror movies. Which reminds me, my brother loaned me "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" and I really need to watch it....

B2H, Mitch is a paramedic. He works full time for our county, they have gone to 12's and he's on nights. And he works part time for the neighboring county, that is still on 24's, so sometimes he does a 12 for them, sometimes a 24. And he paints and does construction on the side. So his schedule is really wacky. And that's why 90% of the stuff that needs done around here, I end up doing. He just flat doesn't have the time.

My girls went to their cookout today, and when they got home, my youngest said she felt bad. She was perfectly fine this AM. Yep, fever of 100.2, gave her Tylenol and a bath. Bedtime soon, hope it's done by the time she wakes up.

I saw the first snake of the season today behind my barn. A 4ft black rat snake. I was riding the bratty pony, thankfully he didn't see it or step on it. And hey, he only tried to bolt sideways twice today in the arena. That's great considering he hasn't been ridden at all lately, and he turns into an utter jerk when he isn't being worked regularly. Whose bright idea was it to get a 14.2hh TB/Morgan cross again? Oh yeah, that would be me. Its okay though, my oldest adores him, even if he is a pain.

Hope your peanut gets feeling better Apachie. One question, where are the pics of bratty pony?

Demon, you could do what I do. Either limit electronics to an hour or two a day, at a certain time of day, or make her earn time on them. DS has both those conditions during the school year. Now that summer's here, I really need to get a new routine started.

As far as the pooping on the roof or driveway, that is gross! **Puke face** I don't worry about that here, as I'm on the edge of town, and everybody knows our dogs. They're kind of famous for protecting their territory, yet being sweet and lovable in public. My dogs rock!

I have a crappy cell phone pic of the tractor I'll post later. And I've got to get on my sister about the video of her dog! I took him to the vet the other day, because he's had this growth on his leg for a while, and he was trying to chew it off. It kept looking worse, but sis was convinced he had a foreign body and it would come out. Nope. Vet took a look and said this needs to come off. Haven't gotten biopsy results back yet. He's a famous dog in town, too, because he likes to sit on sis's garage roof. People like to stop and take pictures of him up there. He's a neat dog!

ETA: Apachie, hope she feels better soon.

FlyGap: Those pics are AWESOME! Shared the first, of "itchy butt" shot to DH, and his caption was, "SOMETHING'S gotta give! Either my BUTT needs to get closer to my head, or my lips need to get longer; & I mean NOW!" Hehe...

The two boys with the salt lick photo is adorable as well! They are just SOOOO cute and handsome at the same time. Blessed, you are, beyond words :0)

:0) :0) :0)

As for moving out of the city...we'd LOVE TO, and are really working on getting some land in a small town someplace with a little house and a horse or two...that's a big part of our two year plan. We just need to decide on a place once and for all and then just start looking for jobs there...probably about a year from now well be three final decision time. Sadly, there are a few things keeping us in Tucson...at least for one or possibly two years more. We will see, though. The world is a big place!! We definitely know how much happier we would be elsewhere!! Ah, time well tell!! :0)

Nobody was here today to take pics for me when I was riding. He is so cute, but very un-photogenic. In most pictures he looks like a giraffe or a camel. His neck is unfortunately long and lean and in person it's not bad, but in pictures, it's awful, lol. Let me see what I can dig up of him.

The first one is an older one, but he doesn't look half bad. The second is my oldest on him last summer. She called me out of the house to see her and I promptly reminded her she had forgotten her helmet, lol. The third was a LONG time ago at his first show with me aboard. He really does know his stuff when he isn't being a brat. (I did buy that proof, it was for a charity thing, not a professional photographer) There are more of him and me but they are horrendous and awkward and are hidden in the deep dark recesses of my computer. Several of them, I am riding in my daughter's saddle correcting some issue or other for her, and the stirrups make me look like an oversized jockey. Not flattering. Of course, THOSE are the moments she grabs my phone and snaps pictures.

All I got was a few measly scratch dimensions!
Just got off the phone with the guy... Nothin.
I have to have this to him IN THE MORNING. A whole site skinned tonight? I am cussing a blue streak!
Apparently he's coming down here wed to have fun, so I don't get to sleep because he's coming to vacay? Horse poop!!!!!!

I could hurt someone right now.

Sorry, rant over.

Hang in there demon. Hugs!

That sucks FlyGap. It always amazes me when people don't do their job and then feel totally justified in letting someone else pick up their slack. Hope you can get it all done in time.

Decided to pop into this thread since I fall into the 30's category :) Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm MJ and I live in mosquito haven. It's almost always green here seeing as it rains a good bit and we are super low to the sea level so it can stay wet for some time if it's not hot. I always look forward to hurricane season because that means no one in my house will be able to use electronics for a while when the power goes out andthen we get to sort of camp out with all our windows open in the living room and run the big generator to keep our freezers/fridge going and fans running at night lol.

I have four horses, Jeaux (Joe) a 16 yr old NSH/QH cross, Cadence a 20ish yr old QH, Charmer a 6 yr old QH and Luka a 5 yr old Polish Arab. I trail ride all of them and plan to start endurance and competitive trail riding on the Arab. He loves it.

I have two teens that I homeschool. I mostly love it :) Teens are a challenge at times (mainly my dd) but I will survive and one day she will appreciate and love me lol. She and I ride together a good bit and we've found a great group to ride with as well.

I love to travel, read, cook, scrapbook, crochet, take pictures, train my horses and watch movies.

Today I managed to finally get my nice car cleaned and waxed. It's been waiting all winter for that lol. DD is on vacation with a friend in Florida-having a blast. Then we all head to the beach shortly thereafter and then the camps start :)

I hope to do my first endurance ride this fall. It's actually a LD (Limited Distance ride). That's what they call 25-30 mile rides. Right now the Arab and I are training.

Better run. I'm absolutely wiped out and am finding myself sort of falling asleep. TTYL!

Okay, I promised a tractor picture and here it is. Mom likes to say that they're the same age and both going strong.

ETA: Welcome, MJ. Pictures are a must!
