I haven't been to Mexico in years. I bet it's changed a lot since I was there last. We used to spend summers in Rocky Point as I have an aunt and uncle with a house right on the beach.

We were on the Island of Cozumel. Last year we went on a cruise and had a stop there. We liked it so much we decided to spend our entire week there this time! I would go back in a heartbeat. We had a blast and the people are great!

I am so tired of Robert's mom and the fact that Robert is, for all intents and purposes, scared of her. One of my really good friends asked me to take her fish tank because she can't take it with her where she's moving and her ex-husband doesn't want it. I said that I'd take it because I've always liked the tank and the shape/size is difficult to find (it's a 55 gallon flat-front corner tank). I told Robert and his reaction was "Don't let my mom see it." Ugh. Really? I didn't even bother asking what her problem with fish tanks is. I don't care. She can bite my big toe if she doesn't like it. It's just frustrating that no matter what I do or want, he has some reason why his mom won't like it. Now I have to figure out where in the house I'm gonna put this tank. It's not huge, but being a corner tank limits where I have available to put it.

Sorry Drafty. It seems that some men never individuate from their mothers and it leads to constant issues. Are you planning on keeping fish in there? If not, you might be able to repurpose it as an art-deco piece.

I would put it in the first room you walk into when entering your house, something like that is worth being seen... No, I really wouldn't. But I would WANT to. Why is it her business anyway?

Sorry you have to deal with that, that's no fun.

Drafty - I think we should stick our MIL's in a rocket and blast them off to mars. They would be great company for each other. Then we can sit our men into a room together and try to convince them that they DO NOT need Mommy's approval to as much as fart.

Welcome Strawberry! Congrats of the engagement!

Ladies, I'm absolutely heartbroken. Garth Brooks is playin 3 nights here in the summer, and myself and a group of friends were mad to get tickets. They sold out in less than 2 hours, and I had the window open on the computer to buy them - but was stuck in the que from 9am sharp! So frustrated. I'd love to know how many people who got them can name 3 of his songs not including friends in low places. There were people selling them on ebay and donedeal immediately after they sold out - obviously for insane profits.

No other news, workin both jobs today. Have to take a friend shoppin this weekend as she is due a baby soon - she is a foreigner like me so we got to stick together :)

Stop for a minute, open your mind, learn. You may not agree with what I say, I may not agree with what you say but we will both learn something new.

Have you tried stubhub? Man that is a bummer. My fiancÚ (eeek! that's the first time I have said that!) does a lot of ticket business on stubhub. Either buying or selling. We will usually try to get tickets during pre-sale for some of the bigger shows like Taylor Swift or Justin Beiber, because we know they will sell out. Then we sell them on stubhub.

Garth Brooks, I would LOVE to see. I love him like a lyric loves a melody

Thank you for the congratulations!!
