I'm sorry. I always hate to hear bad news. But you really need to take care of you first! If you're unhappy, the only person you can count on to make it better is yourself.

Sorry Drafty. It's been a bumpy road, hasn't it? Sending hugs your way.

I actually really enjoyed the most recent time I was single - it was extremely productive as far as physical & mental health goes, and I discovered a ton about who I was and who I wanted to be, after having lost myself to focus entirely on couple-dom in that failed relationship. I reconnected with an old friend, and it gradually turned into a romance which has just hit the 3 year mark. In this relationship, I'm working hard to keep a workable balance of "us" vs "me" time and life is SO much better.

Drafty, what will be will be, if you and Robert break up, you will still be you and you sound like a great person. If he wants to miss out on that opportunity by being an ass, then that's up to him.

Maple, like you said, sometimes things just happen when you weren't planning it. I always swore I would never live in the town where I grew up, and I'd never marry a farmer. Yet here I am, living about ten km from my childhood home, married to a farmer LOL

Thanks guys :) you have really helped me feel slightly better. I just hate that I haven't even been back "on the scene" a month and I'm already wondering why the hell I try lol

Sorry to hear that Drafty :( Reaching the end of your rope is never a pleasant or easy thing, but in the long run you will be much happier if you break loose before spending any more time trying to fit a square peg into a round hole :(

Doesn't want to turn?....More leg.
Doesn't pick up the canter when you ask?...More leg.
What's 2 + 2?.....More leg!

Looks so romantic!

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!
