It's beautiful here today, too, but I'm stuck at home with a migraine and an upset tummy. Was supposed to have a lesson today, but I'm stuck in bed. *sigh*

I have had two moments today, where I realised I'm turning into my Mother

1. I asked DD to do something, when I got back a reply of "why", I replied with "Because I told you too".

2. I have spent the evening listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Nitty Gritty Dirtband and Robbie Robertson; amongst others. My husband actually has little/no knowledge of any of them.

Stop for a minute, open your mind, learn. You may not agree with what I say, I may not agree with what you say but we will both learn something new.

It's ok, Maple. I do it all the time too! Just make peace with it and realize how much that answer annoys the kiddos =P

Ummmmm....honestly I don't know anything about any of those bands either. =(

I'm sure you've heard some of their songs before.

Nitty Gritty dirtband - Fishin In The Dark

BTO - You Aint Seen Nothin Yet, Takin Care of Business - Might be a Canadian thing?

CCR - Fortunate Son, Have You Ever Seen the Rain

Robbie Robertson - he is a Native American singer, which I wouldnt really expect people to have knowledge of unless he had been brought to their attention. My Mom had several of the cd's when I was a kid, find the music somewhat inspiring.

Stop for a minute, open your mind, learn. You may not agree with what I say, I may not agree with what you say but we will both learn something new.

Love BTO and CCR!! BTO isn't necessarily a Canadian thing. Our pep band in high school (which I played bass trombone in) played Takin' Care of Business allllll the time.

My erm... somewhat connection to somebody famous is that my Mom had at one stage babysit Randy Bachman's son. I remember when the son, Tal, released a song and my Mom was as proud as punch

I love CCR and NGD.

Gorgeous weather here too, but muddy from all the recent rain, so right now I'm mulching my flower beds and listening to beach music. Drifters FTW!

Maple, those are cute! Share?

HLL, that's great news!

I'm being adventurous tomorrow for dinner. Going to make brussel sprouts with dinner tomorrow (never made them before). Main dish is going to be meatloaf and other side is mashed potatoes (I'm "famous" in my family for my mashed potatoes).
