    Very exciting Vicky!

Drafty - How did Robert's interview go?

Silver - whats meant for you won't pass you. Something will come your way. I fell into my job, and have worked my way up. Something will come your way.

Anyway guys, I went to view a yard last thursday as wasn't entirely happy at the current place (Ive had horses at home for last 6 weeks). I fell in love with the place instantly, its over 50 acres on a old Irish estate. He had advertised for a field of 3 acres.... well it's plenty more than that! I can drive up to the gate, there are no other horses in with mine and I aso get the use of an open shed - which I plan to use on one side for hay storage and let them use the rest as a run in shelter throughout the winter. I ended up moving them over Saturday after the show.

I was super keen to get Bandit onto a good grass field. He is a hard keeper and drops weight at the drop of a hat, especially when they are baling in the area. The new yard is less than 15 min away, but the horses seem content bar the insane amount of flies!! They seem to be wicked!

I was somewhat stressing about tellin the old BO that we were going, but he arrived at ours on Monday (while I was sleepin before work) and told DH that he couldnt take them this winter. Whew! Glad I went to look at this place when I did, otherwise I would have been in trouble!

Well it looks lovely, happy it all worked out. Irish/UK countrysides always look so genteel compared to our Aussie ones.

Vicki - Keeping my fingers crossed!! He looks gorgeous!

Silver- I do know how you feel. Job hunting is the absolute pits. I have a position now but I haaaaaate it. I'm so bored I could cry most days. I keep hoping my old company will find a place for me. Sometimes you just need to work your way around until something works.

Frlsgrl - HOW CUTE! Funny you should post that, I've been seeing minis that have had me drooling everywhere. I want one sooo bad but I need to be saving up for another car. Sigh. Next year perhaps :(

I've just been bored and broke the past week, and the new job isn't helping matters. I started looking into doing some more writing to help patch up the income I'm missing from switching assignments, but that may be some slow going.

Thanks guys. It just gets old, being rejected all the time.

And to add to the feeling of generally being useless and rejected, it seems as if lots of friends of mine from the US come to England and/or Ireland to tourist around, but never seem to make it up to my distant northern outpost even though I have been inviting them for years. What's up with that?

Mule - Use it to network and make other connections. Think of it as a stepping stone to something more like you.

Silver - the same bloody reason mine never visit me, which will be the same reason I'll only see half of my friends when I get home. People grow, change and get new priorities. The life I had before coming here is light years from what I have now... and it's light years from what my friends are doing now. It's hard, but that's the way it is unfortunately.

Oh, well, it's not just me. One would think... I can be tour guide, transport, hotel, all for just a couple pints. Oh, well. :/

Maple - all of your pictures look like a Thomas Kincade painting.

Silver - keep your chin up. Nobody ever visits me either; I guess Tulsa is not a cool place to hang out.

Vicki - so did you end up buying the horse?

Strawberry - welcome back! We missed you!

Mulefeather - bored and broke is not a good combination; hope things turn around for you soon!

I've had a busy week so far. Got Ana's teeth floated, had a Dressage lesson and got her feet trimmed all in one day. She's getting a couple of days off before I'm supposed to start working her again. RI wants me to lunge her with side reins and not ride her - bahhh - that's no fun. I've been sickly all week; just really dizzy and nearly fainted again during my lesson on Tuesday. Hopefully this will pass soon. I hate having to slow down to take care of myself when there is so much to do!

    Ana's Dental Appointment

I had to share this with you guys. My poor horse was stoned out of her mind from the sedative. She could barely walk; it took two of us to get her into the nearest stall so that she could sleep it off.
