My boyfriend wants kids really badly. He doesn't have any yet. I definitely want more kids. We're not sure where the disconnect is (other than my distinct lack of sex drive the past few months), but we haven't been having any luck at all.

ARE WE GETTING OLD?! In all seriousness, I'm worried! I'm a fertile little thing, and it kinda bothers me that we've been "trying"ish for the past three months and no dice! We aren't too old, right? =/

I hear you about the sex drive thing. I find that when I'm on my meds, things just *cough* don't work. Maybe something you're taking/doing/changed?

Don't take any meds (haven't even been on birth control for almost six years). Nothing has really changed.

I got pregnant twice without trying. The first time, I carried to term and had my son. The second time, I miscarried at six weeks (I was on the Ortho-Evra patch and had my week off, but we couldn't afford my next pack, so I was a week late starting my next pack...sometime in that two weeks, I conceived, but didn't know it, so I started my next pack...we're pretty sure that's why I miscarried, because I was pregnant, then started birth control again). I have my well woman checkup tomorrow, so I'm going to talk to my gyno about it and see what we can figure out. Although I did skip my period last month and it should be starting in the next day or so, but I don't feel like it's going to start (I usually have signs).

The first cesarian was a emergency one. She wasn't stressed, but she was STUCK and not going to move, and it had been almost 12 hours, so they just went ahead and took her. The best part about the second was I got to set the date. I got up in the AM, took my stuff, went in, and an hour later, I was in recovery. The second time I was also a guinea pig for a new pain med at the time (bonus of having a paramedic as a hubby, we get all the coolest new stuff, lmao). It was awesome. I was alert, talking, hanging out, not hurting at all. Its a shame I couldn't stay on it through the recovery. I don't even remember the first whole day after my first was born because I was so doped up on morphine. Not quite how I planned it.

Stress is the worst thing ever for conceiving (and sex drive too), they say. Makes it tough though, if it doesn't happen right away. You stress, it makes it harder, so you stress more, and on and on it goes. I wish you both luck!

Pix of Witch, being a witch...

Kinda funny how she was giving my husband attitude the whole time. He totally wasn't having that. I have a feeling they'll come to an understanding of sorts soon.

Thinking of naming her "Morrigan". Opinions?

I had a great day today! The weather was awesome, I planted some sunflowers plus had a great visit with our close friends and neighbors. Hope to get a horse ride next weekend!

Ya know... since we're on the kid subject... I'm 30, but my boyfriend is only 26. He wants kids and to be married. Which I, of course, think are important parts of life. However, I've already been married and am very happily divorced. I don't have a single maternal bone in my body. So I have made a very VERY serious line in the sand. No kids and no marriage from me. I know that at some point he will leave... I just hope it doesn't end in some nasty fight about how he thought I would change my mind. But I won't and I've never been anything but honest about that.

I am proud to announce that dinner was a success! Robert hates brussel sprouts, but he actually admitted that he liked my brussel sprouts BETTER than he liked my mashed potatoes (FYI, my mashed potatoes are something of a legend)!!

    Pic, as promised:
