Used a bit of redneck ingenuity and fixed the fish eating pump. Got a small round laundry basket from wally world and heavy mesh mosquito netting. Cut the bottom of the laundry basket out and sewed netting onto it, put basket on its side and put in the pump, tied it center and zip stripped the open end of the mesh on the hose. It's working awesome.

Eeeeep, the piggy is way too cute! If he goes missing I don't know a thing...

Grandma casseroles rock! I have a favorite of my gma's too.

Woot woot for redneck ingenuity!

It's funny because when Robert and I started dating, he was very picky and wouldn't try new things. Heck, he'd barely eat food anyone but his mom prepared ("What if they didn't wash their hands?!"). I insisted that he try my grandma's casserole. He absolutely loved it. Just last week, he came to me and said "You know, you haven't made your grandma's casserole in a while. Maybe you should." Subtle, babe. Real subtle.

Well we got one horse worked a little and bathed today. My Big was such a good boy, he remembered everything and rode great even though he hasn't been ridden since early last summer. Walking horses never forget!

Just look at how sexy this boy is. This is before he had a bath(well the last few are after the bath), and he is so ugly and sunburned here. He has made into quite the horse! He was just a lanky colt when I got him last year.

Oh and fyi DH is not hitting him with that whip, he is using it on desensitization work. You can smack that whip all around him and he stands still, then rub him with it, etc.

Handsome boy! How old is he, Ems? You probably said, but I suck at paying attention. Lol.

I hear you about the hair Mandy, mine's been in a long pony for about a year. It's just easier than getting it cut every 6 weeks.

Exactly how I feel about it. I like easy and it doesn't get much easier than a ponytail.

With the nice weather warm up I think it's about time for Merit to get a bit more education. He'll be 2 at the end of May and is looking much more like a horse than a baby :( He's such a relaxed, yes ma'am, do as asked gladly kind of guy so far. I think he's going to be a cake walk. Going to spend the summer ground driving (that's about all he needs before he's ready to climb on) and then start him very slow & lightly over the winter.

Will do. Will have to catch a time when DH is home when I'm working horses. I will get some new pics of my youngsters though. I'm a horrible horse owner and don't take pics often enough. I'm so anxious to get rid of all of his winter fuzz and see what is underneath. His face is getting pretty grey. Honor, a year younger and born bay also is so much darker and more grey underneath than he is. My first grey babies so this is kind of fun but I'm a bit impatient.
