That was back in my college days when hubby and I were dating though, many many moons ago....
For me running around in the bathing suit was many, many pounds ago

Lol ems, mine was many pounds ago also. I love to play in the rain and mud with the kids, but it's only like 50 here today and going to be in the 30s tonight so no playing in our massive mud and water Boggs.

EMS, your neighbor stories made me giggle. I wish mine was just a crotchety old man. Mine is legit certifiable. When he's on his meds, he is fine, even waves. When he is off his meds, it's a much different story. There was one time when I was a kid that he didn't like the sound of the tractor mowing the pasture and he jumped the fence and pulled my grandfather off the tractor...I wasn't very old but I remember very clearly watching my even old then gpa lay him out cold in the pasture. Last year there was an incident, lots of cops, turned out he was holding his own brother hostage...with a fork. Yep, he's nuts. He does have a new girlfriend (how I have no clue) that has seemed to mellow him out. She seems normal, a college professor, my best guess is that she works in the psych dept.

Would love to play in the water, DD asked this morning. If it were yesterday and still 76 degrees I would agree to it but it's 40 degrees and spitting snow today. Wth?! Hasn't stopped Woodstock from playing in it, I'm just waiting for his fat butt to get stuck and then have to figure out how to get him out. Wench on the 4-wheeler most likely

Good on you fly for not sharing your secrets. OH, I've been hearing murmurs that the morels are popping in northern KY/southern IN. That means I have a week or 2 and will be finding them. Hopefully the rain is done for a bit and we have a bumper crop. I want another year like 2 years ago when we were finding them by the bag full. Enough that we couldn't even begin to eat them all and sold them for $45/lb

LMAO, how do you hold someone hostage with a fork? That sounds like quite a story in itself. I had a loony toons neighbor on one side and a bunch of druggies on the other for a while. The loony one would walk my pasture fence every day, banging on trees with his cane, to be sure we never crossed the property line. He also hung No Trespassing signs all through his woods. Now this was on the back side of my 5 ft pasture fence, where there isn't even a gate. He passed away a few years ago and one of my kids old preschool teachers moved in. Much better. The others had daily and sometimes several times daily visits from the cops and/or paramedics and fire. Once they got in a fight and lit a sofa on fire in the front yard, once one was attacked my her bf with a machete, once they got in a brawl in the street and one ran over another one with the car. Yeah, it was an adventure, and not the good kind. They are all long gone or locked up now, and they guy that lives there and his wife are the sweetest people ever. Much more peaceful these days.

Your guess is as good as mine! That's the details we got from a friend that works dispatch. I think for the most part he's fairly harmless, at least now with the new gf anyway. I still don't let DD go anywhere near that side of the pasture. Yikes, your old neighbors sound pretty bad. Can't imagine seeing the street brawls and machetes?! Wow.

Conclusion, people are crazy. All people but horse people and we're just a speshul kind of crazy.

I can never seem to find that horse of the month thing. I always see the results but never the voting. I've thought about entering but I can never find it. What gives? Am I just forum contest challenged? Lol.

You know, I just figured out that my ex is a majorly contributing cause to my crap credit score. Every time I get it straightened out and building, he does something to make me need a lawyer, or in this case, multiple lawyers, who need to get paid. A LOT.

Then bills get paid late, and since house payments etc prioritize over other stuff, I end up with stupid crap in collections... which reflects on me for years afterward, even after the bill is paid.

I literally just had the crap from my early 20s during our first massive battle disappear from my record, and now I'm sitting here looking at horse trailers to move both horses and household crap across the country, and dismally reading that most places won't lend to you unless you're above the 700 credit score mark.

Well ****, looks like that's just never going to happen until my DD turns 18...she's ten now, and even if I make the larger end of the payscale for my major (assuming I finally pass calc and get my degree), it takes 7 years for garbage to disappear from my record.

It's really funny how some mistakes of youth can keep dragging you down over and over and over....I swear, I wish there was a way to keep kids from reproducing until they are at least mid twenties and meet someone reasonable...I think I'll keel over dead if my daughter makes the same mistake (NEVER EVER EVER date someone just because they look good!!!) that I did =/

That stinks demon. I can relate. DH had some major cc debt when we met and his credit was shot. It took forever to get it paid off (we're talking most folks mortgage amt of cc debt) and his score is just now starting to reflect that it's all in the past and his only debt is as a secondary on the farm (home equity, I paid off my mortgage on my 30th bday - best day ever!) and on my new car. He is getting cc offers in the mail again, I get the mail and they go directly into the shredder.

If you were closer, I'd help you move your horses :(

Haha, I take hubby's straight to recycle when I see them. So I hear ya on that one!!! Even when we were doing well financially (aka, spending my whole paycheck like idiots because it was "extra" money...man, I miss those years...), he'd do stuff like forget to pay his bills. FORGET! How do you FORGET something like a cc bill?!

You aren't that far, from Erie, MH ;)

It's the whole CA part that really makes outside help difficult lol

Our current fixer trailer isn't going to be able to handle Witch for three days, flat out. Maybe we'll get lucky and hubby will get his "Thanks for nine plus years of your life now GTFO" money from the military before we move. Otherwise we may have to juggle a bit.

ETS: WOW, mortgage paid off at 30! Epicsauce, and congratulations!
