Grrr, my computer just crashed in the middle of a post. HATE it when that happens!!!!

Anyway, I hope the squirrel is doing fine. I always wanted a pet squirrel!!! I just don't have the guts to spend the money on one, after hearing that while they make great pets as babies, their wild instincts take over as adults, and then they aren't so fun lol.

Aforred: congratulations to your son! =)

So I scored a great deal yesterday. We got a trailer!

We only paid $1200 for it. It has a title and is registered and everything whee! It does need some welding of the frame at the very back, but we'll just take it to the guy we took the old trailer too, and it should not be very expensive. It is missing the upper padding stuff that goes along the wall of the stall on both sides, but as best as I can imagine, it's a $30 dollar or so fix. ;)

Anyway, I swear, I'm one day going to make Witch into burgers. She took off trotting back to the barn with me today from the road and wouldn't stop. I took her to the arena, and she was still being a *%^h, and started trotting, so I tried the whole "fine, you wanna trot? Trot then!" and did that until she was tired. She did calm down a bit, and I even got her to STAND STILL for a few minutes. I know I"m in lessons and all, but I am thinking more and more that Witch should go to a trainer for a refresher course. It's funny....she clearly likes and even obeys my husband much more...and it makes me vaguely want to strangle the both of them. A lot.

OH, and the BO's DH is going to be totally p*ssed about his lawn. =/ Oh well, I tried my best to obey his new signs.... You know what though? On the bright side, I got a good bit of a workout today! Yay to strengthening the core!!!!

Here's some pictures of Witch today, in the crossties:

Thank you Alex. That means a lot coming from the person who I would say the same about. What you do is truly inspiring. I take care of and try to be an involved parent but you do the same for children that others didn't. I think you're amazing, but you already know that.

Demon that looks like you got a great deal!

My plans for the day is to do as little as possible. DS has still been hurting some. Since we are giving him double dose miralax we can't go far because he has accidents. Not his fault though. So we are snuggling and maybe a picnic. Grooming the horses maybe.Who knows what we will get into on our lazy day.

KyMom, give your poor little guy extra hugs from all of us.

Demon, that trailer is awsome. A little TLC and it looks like it will be just what you need.

The squirrel is doing better today. He can use all four legs, and he can sort of climb, but he has no coordination or control really over the back end. It works, but now how he wants it too. Still, he was able to climb the side of the dog carrier he is in. So hoping he will come out of it on his own and I can cut him loose in a couple days. Right now the plan is just to leave him alone as much as possible so as not to stress him and make him move around until he is ready.

I'm just done. Today was absolutely crazy. My hand is still hurting, but at least I can use it now, unlike yesterday.

Today started with my car refusing to start. Ok. It would start, but it would immediately die. We ended up being ten minutes late to work. When we got to work, we were immediately hit with two sold cars and TWENTY-ONE cars (mostly trucks and SUVs) to get ready to go to the auction. We only had an hour and a half to get the auction cars ready to go and most of them needed to be washed. There were three of us in the wash bay, but the other two are new and one of them wasn't feeling well, so she was dragging butt. Our boss was running around trying to round up the auction cars, so it was up to me to keep things flowing in the wash bay. All told, we did seven sold cars, twenty-four auction cars (they threw a few last minute auction cars at us), two rental cars, and one showroom car. I'm absolutely beat.

Oh, and last night, I got completely freaked out and spent the evening until my BF got home being anywhere but at the house (we're fairly certain that my BF's dad's spirit is in the house with us...both of us have had unexplainable experiences). Then we didn't go to bed until midnight and I really didn't sleep well.

Wish we had a hot tub. Lol

    Something to consider
Demon I like the trailer makes me think perhaps I should go to the states and get a few second hand horse trailers ship them back to NZ and flog them off at a profit.

    Back to something to consider

My horse is called Stella and that name to me conjures up the vision of a tart and I have threatened to shoot her. Tart being a difficult women to deal with.

You have Witch which at times you feel like turning into hamburger

Do you think how we associate and react to their name, feeds them with that vibe, and they react acordingly. Would a name change over time change how we act and therefore would the spin off be a better horse.

Stan- I kinda wondered the same thing. I've been playing with names for our soon to be foal and its scary, because I think we'll I don't want to name them this and it then out to be a hell raiser like the name would insinuate.

Argh, I've had no internet at home for 4 days so I'm a bit behind :( I have read what you all said, but either I'm incredibly late replying and the conversation has moved on or I've forgot by the time I got to the end :)

MHF - We had intended to take the kids on a holiday instead of have her bday party.. in the end we just didnt have the money so it will have to wait.

EMS - Bandit choked on me last November, I had never seen it before and it frightened the life out of me!! Never want to see it happen again. I also feel for you with the raging PMS - I'm like an antichrist at the moment.. and know I am being a cow but can't stop it

Drafty - Aires is a stunner! What a handsome chap!

Affored - Yay on the math test!

    Demon - Love the trailer!

Well guys, I went for a job interview yesterday. It's another p/t job. It's only working as a bathroom attendent in a nightclub... hubby is being less than supportive as "im better than that"... which I do agree with, but Im also aware that we have bills to pay and this will be quite a boost to our finances. It's all nighttime work (no childcare), between 3 - 4 times a week from about 9:30pm - 3:30am. It's minimum wage but I get to keep my tips. I have to supply all my own extras (deodorant, body spray, lollipops, ect) but he said the best thing is to just get a few bits to start out with. I'll be keeping my current job, so this will be added on top of it. It's a kicker falling so far down the career ladder.... but money is money and there isn't a heck of a lot out there at the moment.

Getting on fine drivin the car. Hubby being a snob and wont get in the car because it's old. *sigh* he has an incredible sense of entitlement that is driving me up the wall at the moment.

Myself and DS are both sick at the moment with colds. He had bronchitis last year that he was hospitalized for and whenever he gets as much as a sniffle it goes straight into his chest :( We were both up a good bit last night coughing.

DD is flying with her pony! We are now walking/trotting off the lead altogether! Yay! No leadrein required at all at the moment! *happy dance*. First show is June 8th/9th and we're down scrubbin Nod to try and get rid of the winter every day :( The hair is flying off, but her coat looks blotchy from having the rain rot before we got her - anybody tips? I've got her rugged, she is getting a handful of 10% mix with Curragh Carron oil.. it's too cold to bath her at the moment. Her coat in this pic looks manky - we were only after spending 15 min scrubbing the heck out of her.. and she got another 10 min afterwards lol! She is lovin all the TLC.

BO came up to me on Monday, we had a few words over payment. I won. He went away and a half hour later came back over to me.. offered me free livery next winter in exchange for helping muck out (there are only about 7 stalls) the 3 days I'm not working.
