We found a trailer!! You guys are going to sh88 when I tell you how much we're getting it for. It is a "bit" of a turd right now lol, but structurally solid and just has peeling paint and surface rust and a few other cosmetic flaws. It's a 30 ft 4 horse slant, new floors and rubber mats, living quarters w/air, stove, water, etc. It's an older model and just needs some updating and TLC, plus painting. We just got the paint today and dh is going to sand blast it and use our paint sprayer to paint it. I AM SO EXCITED!!! We pick it up in the morning.

I can't wait to polish this turd up! She's going to be red with a white roof and all white interior.

It had the lady's stuff in it in this pic and that's mud slung all on the sides there. I'll get better pics to post tomorrow, then will post our progress pics so you guys can see the transformation!

The lady who owned it (the one in the pic here) is small and it was just her and her daughter so this trailer was just too much for her.

Apachie, So sorry about Buck. Wishing the best for you and your children.

    Ems, fantastic trailer, fantastic price!

I'm heading off to driving (horses not cars) school this weekend with some friends. 3 days learning to drive singles and pairs from minis to drafts. I've been looking forward to this for a long time!

    Comic - that's sounds awsome!!

I had a good enough first weekend guys - 135 in tips ontop of my wages :) Happy days. I'm actually rather enjoying it, I'm meeting some super nice people, and seeing some very amusing drunken antics - I'm also getting to meet complete nutjobs/druggies and dealing with the super obnoxious very drunk young girls - I thought my eardrums were going to burst on Sunday night. Overall, I'm rather enjoying it - it's a stress free job where there is little for me to worry about. I lost my entire weekend, as when I wasn't working I was sleeping but know that when I get into a routine it'll be fine - the big test will be this week as I'm in job #1 Thurs, Fri and Sat during the day. Job #2 Thurs, Fri, Sat and poss Sun in the evening. Friday is going to be tough, but I'll get through it (i'm thinkin lunchtime nap in the car!). I was very annoyed with job #1 on Monday - it was a bank holiday and the girl who has taken my job was texting me at 8am!! She knows I am working nights now! I'm very very annoyed, as I was also getting calls/texts today and I've decided I'm going to have to pull the boss up on it. I know she has told the girl not to call me, and I'm very annoyed at this stage.

Today was gorgeous, I took the kids to the playground.

How is everybody else getting on? Any scandal?

Well, ONE good thing about today. Had an appointment with the allergist this AM and she discovered that I had an ear infection brewing. She said another couple days and it would have really been hurting me. So at least I have been spared horrible ear pain.

We had some nasty storms yesterday and a massive cedar tree fell in our pasture, and it missed the fence and storage shed by a mere foot. One more thing to keep me busy as a bee, plus, chainsawing a tree is excellent therapy. If the muscles are tired, the brain can rest, right?

At least you caught that one early Apachie! Ear aches are no fun :( And at least you'll have plenty of fire wood for next winter.
