Question Affection or Annoying itch??

Hey . On saturday I was riding a new lesson horse, and while I was waiting to lead him out of the arena after the ride (i was on the ground) he started to rub against me (rub his head on my legs). As I don't know alot about the behaviour of a horse I wasnt sure why he was doing it. Was he being a bit affectionate or just had an itch and I was the perfect scratching post XD. Im guessing that he just had an itch.

Oh and if this is in the inappropriate section then please move it :)

I'm guessing itch. But at least the horse was comfortable enough with you to feel like he could use you!!!
