After school horse jobs

I am looking for a job for my after school hours. We started school yesterday. :( Any how I kind of want one with something to do with horses. I would be willing to do anything, scoop manure, groom, or anything that needs done like painting barns, mowing yard. Ect. I get off school at about 1:30 Pm (homeschooled). Does anybody know of a place I can get listings of horsey jobs in my area?

Go to Craigslist.com

They have everything!!

And also do a search in the Farm+Garden area. That's usually where all the horsey stuff is.

Ask at the your local feed, tack stores or any local stables, horse farms, or other farms.

I have a similar question. There's a pro chuckwagon driver that lives by some of my family and I was wondering if he'd let me work for him, feeding his horses, etc. The thing is, I don't know how to get ahold of him other than going down to his farm and seeing if he's around. This a good idea??

Brumby, maybe you could check out local stables or something..

I have done this twice before. Both times, the barn owners were more then happy to show me around, and let me help out. I was SO nervous though at first. But that's just because I am really shy!

What do you guys think about writing a physical letter? I did it once when I was 12 and got politely told no, but now that I am 17 I am not sure it would be quite so cute haha. Is it too invasive?

that is so cool! What kind of barn was it? Did you just go in and ask if you could help out? I am so shy too, so I'd be sooooooo nervous!! I'm waiting for an email back.. hoping that it comes!
