Smile -: To All The Breyer Lovers Here! :-

Aha, I thought I might stick something up for all of us who collect plastic ponies :3 If this is in the wrong spot, feel free to move it!!

Let's kick it off with how many everybody has? What's your favorite model? Pictures? :3

I've got 84 lovely little Breyers! I mainly collect Traditionals, but do have a few Stablemates n Classics. My favorite mold is the Giselle mold, but the Gilen follows close behind :) I have everything in both except the origional porcelians. My favorite model I have is Melange, in the Giselle mold, she is stunning, and a JAH Limited Edition

Pictures coming soon :)

I collected them (Breyers) thru childhood/teenage years, packed them up, but still have them. 72 at last count, but have bought a few, here and there on sale. We just bought a new house, so "my" room, will be the computer room, I plan on putting them out for show. So, most of mine are from early 60's to early to mid 70's. I wish I still had the ones that were broken, and thrown away (though not broken). The neighbor boys had GI Joes, back when they were 12". They all went to war on my horse statues. I never owned a Barbie! lol

At the moment, I have 4. Cigar, Rugged Lark, a dappled percheron and J. B. Andrew. When I was younger, I had a lot more. But they were expensive so I only had maybe 10, and the rest of my collection was Grand Champions.

I JUST found Rugged Lark and Cigar in the basement. They seemed to have survived the basement cleaning of 2001 that I wasn't here for. I do really enjoy the miniature breyers though.

J.B. Andrew was always my favorite.

J.B. Andrew isn't pictured. Sadly, he is in storage for the moment until next week.

Cigar is my favorite that I own. The bay cantering Andalusian is my favorite that I have yet to buy. I had some 70+ models before I narrowed down the collection to less than 20. My mom sent them to my cousin. Currently, my plastic ponies sit wrapped in newspaper in a box waiting for me to have a shelf to put them on again.

Think of it not as a failure but as a success in how not to do it.

Don't look in a horses mouth for a gift.

I've got around 60.. Give or take. Growing up, I always got a Breyer for Christmas as my "Santa present." I remember begging for them any time we saw them, but they were always so expensive. ha ha I'm 22 now and Santa still gets me one every year.

My favorite mold is the Mustang one.. My favorite models being
Gawani Pony Boy's Kola and San Domingo, the Medicine Hat Stallion.

I used to have a serious collection, but I lost them in a fire. I have replaced just my most favorite two. One is TWH Midnight Sun and the other is the brown arabian mare my parents gave me to tell me my Christmas present was my first real horse.
