My gelding doesn't bat an eye at dogs, semi trucks going by, rabbits, ect. But he will spook at yellow trash on the side of the road. Not sure why......but he thinks Wendy's is out to get him.
My mare is scared of a blanket being on my gelding (she actually went over the fence at the time) and her own farts.

Love your last bit of that line...they are like GIANT detectives, in a way, aren't they?

Horse (to partner-horse detective): "Hmmm, I don't like the LOOKS of that LIGHT greenish HAY BALE over there...juuuust doesn't SIT RIGHT with me...I'm going to have to keep a watch on that one. Looks like it's going to be a tough nut to crack."

(maybe I've watched too much Law and Order in my lifetime!)

I used to ride a horse that freaked out whenever she saw light grey horse (what a lot of folks call white). If a horse had a lot of white on it like my paint x then that was ok but the all white ones were scary.

Thor is terrified of cows, has run through fences to get away from them.

I don't suggest you try it. When I was young and foolish my friend and I decided that it would be worth a laugh to bring her Appy in to the house. It was all fun and games until she reached over and took a big chomp out of the lighting fixture! There she stood chewing on a light bulb!
