Question Any Advice for a First Shomanship Class?

I honestly didn't know where to put this, so I put it with Horse Talk. I am very sorry if this is the incorrect forum...

So at my shows this year I am trying showmanship. Is there anything I should work on in specific to prepare for it? I already know pivots and quadrants. Anything else? Any advice is welcome!!

    Thank You in advance!

Setting up quickly is always nice judges loverz it. If you can square up in under 3 seconds you are the judges pet lol. Backing straight is another big thing. Also when you approach the judge for your inspection you want to halt about an arms length away. When you halt be sure not to trickle down to a walk or halt make sure it is sharp and almost reiner like (without the slide of course). Oh and BIG SMILE even if you ruien your pattern judges love big ole smiles . Hhhmmm Oh be sure to check your judge after your pattern (some don't care). If you don't go first watch to see if the judge checks for the handler to check him/her after the pattern. That's all I can think of right now... oh oh make sure you give yourself plenty of room away from marker cones. I had a pattern once where you had to trot from cone 1 to cone 3 then back to cone 2 and preform a 270 turn and I ran into the cone during our pivot because I didn't give us enough space.... that's all I can think of right now... oh oh oh wait after you line up don't stop showing your horse. Be sure to stay 'one square' away from the judge at all times (similar to your inspection). Hope this makes sence and hope this helped. You probably could have poped this in the showing section at least that's where I pop all my questions :P
